This video shows how I self transfer from my manual chair on to my couch indepndently using my banana board.
I have no active tricep muscles, only shoulder and biceps with very limited core strength or movement below my chest.
This transfer requires alot of practice and with time it has become easier. I recommend having someone present for a long time until you feel safe making the transfer alone. You should always have a backup plan as falls Do happen; whether its a safety button on a watch or some means of notifying someone in the event an accidenthappens.
